The National Commission on Missing Persons has recommended registering criminal cases against serving authorities of police, intelligence institutions and Frontier Constabulary (FC).
Media reports said that commission headed by Justice (r) Javed Iqbal had prepared its report containing 400 pages on missing persons. The report said 415 people had been traced of the 1,050 people gone missing.
The commission directed the ministries of interior and defence to register cases against officials of intelligence institutions, FC and police.
Per the report, the commission has handed over 64 missing people from Balochistan, 145 from Punjab, 24 from Sindh and 164 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to their family members.
Another 15 persons of Azad Kashmir and 23 from federal capital have also been traced out.
The commission also claimed recovering 21 bodies of missing persons from Balochistan.
The report will be presented to the prime minister by the end of this month.
