The lawyers’ community on Monday observed a strike to register their protest against bloodshed in Quetta and attack on Ziarat residency.
Responding to the call of Punjab Bar Council, the lawyers boycotted court proceedings at the Lahore High Court, sessions courts, civil courts and other courts in city.
However, the boycott affected litigants who had to return disappointed as their cases could not be heard.
Meanwhile, the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) on Monday also held a meeting of its general house which was presided over by the LHCBA President Abid Saqi. On this occasion, the speakers condemned the Quetta and Ziarat incidents and demanded the government to arrest the culprits.
They do it at the expence of litigants and they are not ashamed. The squint is looking in a direction only he knows. He encourages this shameless lot.
