The Islamabad police on Tuesday recovered a dead body packed in three separate bags from JiguotVillage, near Bani Gala.

“After killing this unidentified man, the killers chopped his body up into pieces and placed these in three bags,” said Sub Inspector Bani Gala Police Station Munir Jaffri who is investigating this case.

The police said that the bags were found from a field at Dhoke Mori in JagyoutVillage.

“We recovered the bags on a local’s report, who told us that the villagers were complaining of a rotten smell emanating from the fields,” said Bani Gala Police Station Duty Officer Samiullah, adding that consequently, the police conducted a search operation and within a few minutes recovered the bags.

Later, the police shifted the bags to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for an autopsy. The investigation officer said that the deceased face was identifiable, and he seemed to have been 40 years old.

“At this stage, I cannot say anything about murder, but one thing is clear that the crime was committed in a different location and the body was shifted to Dhoke Mori later,” he added.

Talking to Pakistan Today, Rural Superintendent Sardar Sadaqat said that PIMS had confirmed that the body parts in the bags belonged to one person. According to him, the man had been murdered due to some honour related issues. “The way his body was chopped up shows that the killers had some special enmity with him,” the SP added.
