Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah on Monday assured the government for full cooperation from the opposition benches to eliminate terrorism from the country.
Speaking on a Point of Order in the National Assembly, he said, “We will not politicise the issue and extend full cooperation to eliminate terrorism but it is the responsibility of the interior minister not to conceal anything and share whole information with the House.”
He said Quetta and Ziarat incidents were not due to incompetence of the government while it was the continuity of the terrorist incidents taking place in the past.
Khurshid Shah said that the PPP-led government had made efforts to remove sense of deprivations of the people of Balochistan. He said it was the desire of the entire nation to restore peace in the Balochistan.
Chief of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Mehmood Khan Achakzai asked the government to announce joint strategy to eliminate terrorism from the country.
He said the whole nation wanted to see country peaceful. Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rashid appreciated the efforts of the government for improving law and order situation in Balochistan.
“It looks that the government is serious about improving law and order and it is a welcome step that interior minister has visited Balochistan,” he added.
However, he asked the government to devise a mechanism to handle situation after withdrawal of US troops from the Afghanistan.
