With 119 new cases reported during the last 24 hours, the number of measles cases in Punjab in the last six months has reached 17,969.
According to Health Department officials, at least 158 deaths have been reported so far with most occurring in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Kasur and Sialkot.
During the last 24 hours, around 119 cases of measles were reported from Punjab, including 34 from city hospitals on Sunday.
Doctors in Jinnah Hospital complained of a measles vaccines shortage and of other medicines in the emergency department.
