IHC restores journalist’s plots quota case hearing

The Islamabad High Court on Saturday restored the journalists’ plot quota case in Sector G-14 by accepting a fresh plea for regular hearing.

The plea was moved by Petitioner Ilyas Bhatti, a senior journalist.

The IHC judge, Justice Shoukat Aziz Siddiqui accepted the petitioner’s plea after hearing arguments from both sides.

Bhatti challenged the allotment of one kanal plots to Qaiser Rana, Absar Alam and Hanif Sabir in Sector G-14 by the Federal Government Housing Foundation in 2006.

The writ petition was dismissed for non prosecution in January 2012.

The petitioner contended that he was not informed about the case’s fixation.

The Judge ordered the case’s fixation for final hearing before the next summer vacations.
