Explosions on Karachi’s Manghopir Road kill four

At least four people were injured in two explosions on Manghopir Road in Karachi’s Pirabad area.

Those injured in the explosions near Kati Pahari included two Rangers personnel, a policeman and a rescue volunteer.

The first explosion was a cracker blast which reportedly targeted a Rangers check post in the area.

The first blast took place when unknown men riding a motorbike lobbed a hand grenade on Manghopir Road.

The attackers escaped, however, a second blast occurred as police and Rangers personnel arrived at the site of the explosion.

Several were reported injured in the second blast, including two Rangers personnel and a policeman. A volunteer engaged in the rescue operation was also wounded in the second explosion.

The injured were shifted to Abbasi Shahid Hospital for treatment.
