Following a high-level meeting with party leaders, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan gave Ayla Malik and Asad Umar the green signal to start campaigning for by-polls in National Assembly (NA) constituencies NA-71 Mianwali and NA-48 Islamabad, respectively.
NA-48 was vacated by PTI President Javed Hashmi while NA-71 was vacated by Khan himself.
Ayla Malik, who had spent two days in exhaustive meetings regarding the matter, left for Mianwali, party sources revealed.
The decision could create a wave of criticism within the party since many leaders have been of the view that decisions are being taken without consultation from senior party leaders.
Former women wing president Fauzia Kasuri had a few days ago left the party after framing allegations that biased decisions were taken on reserved seats for women in the National Assembly.

  1. Not too sure about Ayla Malik, but Asad Umar definitely deserves to be in the National Assembly.

  2. We need high-achievers like Asad Umar in the assemblies, and in the government.

Best of luck at the elections

  3. Both are good choices. Asad Umar's credentials are excellent and Ayla Malik campaigned single handedly for Imran on the Mianwali seat, so she deserves that ticket now.

  4. PTI should also nominate candidates on all seats vacated by PMLN as the budget backlash may four PTI in by-elections. Also, they should field candidates on all other seats vacated by other parties.

  5. Imran Khan hardly makes mistakes His nod to two of his party's important persons to go ahead in polls is a right decision. They both are very competent in every way and will be great asset to PTI Good luck
