Citizens plagued by the prolonged spans of load shedding, set ablaze the office of WAPDA in the city. Immensely distraught by the protracted and unannounced spells of power outages, angry people torched the WAPDA office located in Dhamial Camp, causing all the office record to burn to ashes. The infuriated people rampaged around the office. Meantime, the office crew had to run outside to rescue themselves. Receiving the report of the incident, police arrived on the spot and dispersed the demonstrators. The demonstrators said there was no electricity in several areas including Bihar Colony and Chakri Road for three days now, however WAPDA officials were not lending an ear to their problem.
