Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has warned the police authorities to mend their ways otherwise they would have to face the legal proceedings.
He stated this while speaking during a high level meeting held in the city on Thursday to review the law and order situation in the province.
Shahbaz Sharif said that facilitating the masses was the top priority of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N)-led provincial government and ‘Thana’ culture has to be changed for public relief. He said that corruption will not be tolerated in police department and anyone found guilty would not be spared at any cost.
The meeting attended by high officials of the provincial government, deliberated on correcting Thana Culture and speedy action on people’s complaints at police stations.
It should be mentioned that after being elected as CM, Shahbaz Sharif had promised to bring changes in Thana and Patwari culture across the province.
METRO BUS COMING CAPITAL’S WAY: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that on the pattern of Lahore, Metro Bus Project will also be started in Rawalpindi.
The chief minister said that Metro Bus Project route will be devised in such a manner as maximum people could benefit from this modern, comfortable and affordable facility and this route will be extended up to Islamabad.
He expressed these views during a meeting with public representatives and administrative officers in Rawalpindi.
