The early monsoons may have brought a smile on our faces, but for one man, it has been raining woes. The sprawling set in Film City that has been Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’ home for the past few months, is bearing the brunt of the deluge. And while most of the scenes involving Ranveer and Deepika have already been shot, there remains some more work to be done. However portions of the set have already been damaged and the filmmaker is staring at a loss of money. A source close to the development said, “Bhansali had planned his schedules carefully. Initially, there may have been some delays but the film has been bang on track so far. However, the early arrival of the monsoons had not been accounted for. Portions of the lavish set, which has mansions and houses, have been damaged and plastic sheets have been used now to protect them.” Fortunately, this has not affected the schedule of the film. “Since it is an elaborate set, both shooting and repairing of the damaged parts, can go on simultaneously.” For the perfectionist that is Bhansali, we believe this has added to his frown lines. “He likes things to move as planned. But this time, it’s just nature that is playing havoc with his grand designs.”
