Addressing the media ahead of the India-Pakistan match on Saturday, the Indian cricket team skipper MS Dhoni said that a match involving the two nations is always a big game, irrespective of its status.
“We have seen houseful status for an Indo-Pak clash even during warm-up in build-up to other tournaments. Hopefully, we’ll get another houseful tomorrow,” Dhoni said. “India-Pakistan game is always big,” he added.
The match is of academic interest and is a dead rubber, as India has made it to the semis, while Pakistan has been knocked out of the tournament.
Commenting on India’s good show in the tournament, Dhoni said, “We have been quite consistent in the whole edition. The fact is that we have been able to chase big scores. It’s always a pleasing aspect. We are not known for our fielding. But we are rated as one of best fielding units in the world now.”
India has won all the matches, including warm-up, ahead of the match against Pakistan on Saturday.
