Two more children died of measles on Wednesday raising the total number of deaths to 151 in the province. According to Health Department officials, one death each was reported from district headquarters hospitals (DHQ) of Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar. During the last 24-hours as many as 208 new cases of measles were reported in Punjab, including 39 in city hospitals. A total of 17,246 cases were reported during the last six months in the province. A focal person of Extended Programme for Immunization (EPI) Dr Younas said that after the anti-measles drive in high risk districts the situation regarding measles would come under control.
