Explanation sought from OGDCL MD for arbitrary acts

The Petroleum and Natural Resources Ministry has sought explanation from Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) Managing Director Masood Siddiqui for his arbitrary acts.
The MD is receiving salary of Rs 1,200,000 per month, arbitrarily got his salary raised by Rs 500,000 per month and rented a bullet-proof vehicle for Rs 1,200,000 per month.
According to documents available, Siddiqui was appointed as the OGDCL MD on contract basis with his salary and perks approved and fixed in his contract agreement by the PM on the recommendations of petroleum and finance ministries which includes salary of Rs 1.25 million, house rent at 45 percent of the salary, two 1600CC company maintained cars and bonuses.
Later, without any approval from the ministry, Siddiqui got his salary arbitrarily raised by Rs 500,000 per month in utter violation of his contract agreement. He also claimed and received Rs 2,000,000 as four months arrears.
The story of making luxuries at the national exchequer not ended here, Siddiqui issued order to give undue benefit to one of his blue-eyed subordinate, HR Manager, Akhtar Hussain Shah fixing his pension Rs 200,000 per month.
When the senior official of the ministry knew about the state of affairs they came into action and sought explanation from Siddiqui.
The OGDCL Finance Department MD declared arbitrary acts of Siddiqui complete violation of rules and regulations.
