A trench has been dug on the apron side of the Benazir Bhutto International Airport to ensure foolproof security.
Moreover, in lieu of the approaching monsoon, desalination of nullahs running through the airport area has also commenced.
According to sources, the security in and around the airport has been ungraded and Rawalpindi Police and Elite Force contingents would patrol the airport’s boundary. The Airport Security Force (ASF) would continue patrolling within the airport.
