Sufi Muhammad sent back to jail after checkup

Sufi Muhammad, chief of Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi (TNSM), was taken to Lady Reading Hospital from the central jail on Wednesday after his condition worsened.
The TNSM chief is suffering from joint aches and urinary infection.
The TNSM chief was taken to the hospital in handcuffs and could not walk properly on account of the aches.
Police personnel escorted him to the doctor’s office who after a check-up recommended taking certain medications for a month.
The doctor also advised Muhammad to undergo physiotherapy. He was further advised to go for another checkup after a month. After doctor’s visit he was taken back to the central jail.
Muhammad was arrested in 2009 and put in Central Jail Peshawar with 19 cases against him. Thirteen of these cases are being heard in a special anti-terrorism court.
