PTI yet to settle internal rifts over ministries

Though Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders succeeded in resolving dispute with the Jamaat Islami leaders over the Education Ministry but they are yet to settle internal rifts over portfolios.
PTI Provincial Secretary General Shaukat Ali Yousufzai along with JI’s Sirajul Haq announced that the dispute over the Education Ministry has been settled. Yousufzai also announced to form/complete KP cabinet in a couple of days.
Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Sirajul Haq of Jamaat Islami and Sikandar Hayat Sherpao of Qaumi Watan Party, have taken oath of offices on May 31 last. The completion of cabinet was expected within days but unfortunately rifts between PTI and JI erupted over Education Ministry. Similar, a race was also started amongst the PTI MPs not only for ministerial offices but also for attractive ministerial offices.
According to formula, three ministries would go to QWP and JI and one to Swabi’s Awami Jamhoori Ittehad whereas PTI will get only seven ministries. However, the chief minister has already made a mind for inducting five elected MPs as his advisers. These advisors will be equal to ministers and could be made responsible for looking after affairs of the ministry or department. On such grounds, the PTI in a cabinet of 20 will enjoy 13 ministries.
The PTI coalition partners would get attractive ministries. JI’s Sirajul Haq will be finance minister, Inayat Ullah Khan the local government minister and Habibur Rahman as the ushr and Zakat minister, social welfare and women development. Sikandar Hayat Sherpao will be minister for irrigation and public health engineering, Bakht Baidar Khan the industries, labour, mineral development and technical education and Ibrar Tanoli as minister for environment. Awami Jamhoori Ittehad’s Shehram Khan will be the agriculture minister.
So far names of PTI ministers have not been made public but Shaukat Ali Yousufzai will get information, culture and sports ministries, Sardar Israrullah Khan Gandapur will be the law minister and Yousuf Ayub Khan is likely to be made the education minister as he served in the same capacity in 1997-1999. Sardar Idrees, Yaseen Khalil, Shah Farman, Muhammad Atif Khan, Dr Amjad, Fazal Hakim, Dr Meher Taj Roghani, Samiullah Alizai, Amjad Afridi and Malik Qasim are waiting to be inducted in the cabinet as ministers and advisers.
