PIMS overcharging for medical tests

The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has started overcharging for C.T scan and M.R.I. tests, and the hospital administration remains a silent spectator on this situation.

Details said that even the poor people are being charged Rs 3500 to 14,000 for C.T scan and M.R.I tests a receipt is not provided even on demand.

Citizen Zahoor Ahmed said, “My son is admitted in the hospital, and when I took him for his C.T scan, I was charged Rs 5000 and a receipt was not provided. Medical tests from the market cost much less than they do at the hospital’s laboratory.”

Patients and their attendants have appealed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to take notice of this injustice.
