Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said Pakistan greatly valued its friendly ties with South Africa and admired the role played by Nelson Mandela in cementing these relations.
In a message of good wishes on behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan for Nelson Mandela, former president of Republic of South Africa, the prime minister prayed for his early recovery from illness.
Nawaz said that Mandela’s well being was not only a blessing for the South African people but also a source of inspiration for all oppressed people of the world.
He said the valiant struggle of Nelson Mandela during apartheid era and rise of the South African nation as a modern democratic state had been an unprecedented achievement which would be remembered throughout the history
