JI to protest against atrocities on Burmese Muslims

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will protest on Friday against the atrocities on Muslims in Burma.

In a statement, JI Karachi General Secretary Naseem Siddiqui announced that the nation, on the call of party chief Syed Munawar Hasan, would observe a countrywide day of protest on Friday against the atrocities being committed on the Muslims in Burma.

He said that the protest demonstrations and seminars will be organized in different parts of the city where solidarity with the Muslims of Burma would be expressed.

Meanwhile, Siddiqui appealed to the ulema to offer special prayers for the Muslims of Burma in Friday congregations.

He further said that the thousands of Muslims, including women and children, were being martyred and their houses and others properties were also being set ablaze, but no action was being taken by any human rights organisation, OIC and other organisations of world.

He demanded that United Nation (UN) take notice of the Muslim genocide in Burma.
