The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has claimed to have arranged $9 billion dollars required for construction of Bhasha Dam.
According to a report issued on Tuesday, WAPDA officials said that $4 billion would be derived from Asian Development Bank while the rest of the money would be derived at the guarantee of Ghazi Brotha Power House and from the Friends of Democratic Pakistan.
Sources also claimed that recommendations with international companies regarding the dam, power house and tunnels would be finalised within 10 days and formal work would be started within next six months.
Officials were of the view that they had demanded Rs 30 billion from next fiscal year but the government has assured to provide Rs 25 billion for this purpose.
