Another child died of measles on Monday, raising the death toll to 149 in Punjab.
According to hospital sources, three-year-old Abu Baker suffered from measles disease and was admitted to a hospital where doctors provided him every kind of medical facilities but unluckily he could not survive.
At least 149 children have fallen victim to this fatal disease in Punjab out of which 82 are reportedly from Lahore.
The sources also revealed that about 48 cases of measles were reported in Punjab within 24 hours. Lahore has been affected the most by the disease where 5,021 measles cases have been reported since Jan 1 while total number of cases in the province so far has reached 16,747.
