Awami Express’s delay facilitates free meal for passengers

Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has taken the notice of the Awami Express’s delay and directed railways authorities to submit a report in this regard.

Media reports said that Awami Express that travels from Peshawar to Karachi including other trains left their stations 22 hours late.

Following the passengers’ complaints, Saad directed railways authorities to serve free meal to the passengers on the Ghotki Railway Station.

Addressing a reception ceremony earlier, he said railway stations have turned into garbage dumps and black sheep in the department would not be tolerated. Out of 465 railway engines, 325 are out of order while only one goods train is functional.
