Never said Karachi belongs to Urdu speakers only: Altaf

Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Husain has said that his party never claimed that Karachi was meant only for Urdu-speaking people.
“People from every faction live in Karachi. Karachi is a ‘mini Pakistan’ and the ‘mini Pakistan’ has given its decision in favour of MQM,” Altaf said while addressing party workers over telephone from London.
The MQM chief said the youth was with Altaf Hussain, but still a negative attitude “is adopted against us”.
“The MQM is the party of the weak and deprived and would continue to struggle for their rights,” he added.
