The Judicial Commission (JC) constituted to probe into causes leading to the murder of Indian spy Sarabjit Singh has started proceedings.
Bushra Zaman, registrar of JC, gave a briefing to the media on Saturday, saying notices had been sent to the family members of Sarabjit Singh through the Foreign Ministry for recording their evidence.
“The JC has also summoned more that 10 witnesses to record their statements.”
She said Justice Mazahir Ali Naqvi, chairman of the JC, visited Kot Lakhpat jail and inspected the venue of incident, Sarabjit Singh’s block and his cell. He also asked questions from various prisoners and took into the custody all the jail record pertaining to Sarabjit Singh.
Zaman said the commission would soon ascertain the facts because this was a matter of relations of two countries and was very sensitive in nature.
