The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) constituted a working group on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in its Home and Tribal Affairs Department.
According to a notification by the development wing of the KP Home and
Tribal Affairs Department on Saturday, the terms of reference (ToRs) are that this working group shall be responsible for extending support in project design, local framework and action plans.
Besides, the working group would also offer support in preparation of annual work plan and recommend revision where necessary. It would review draft policies formulated through project assistance and review capacity building and training programmes.
The group would provide advice, assistance and support in effective project implementation. Likewise, it would provide necessary support to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness and support for coordination with stakeholders.
The working group would also ensure cooperation of respective departments, organisations and training institutes besides ensuring sustainability of project components and assistance in mainstreaming interventions and activities.
Furthermore, it would provide assistance in periodic monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment of the project and support in policy dialogue. It would also review project communication strategy and promote learning links and exchanges with donors and CSOs.
Members of this working group include KP Additional Inspector General of Police Syed Akhtar Ali Shah, Peshawar High Court Legal Draftsperson/ Director II (HRD) Riffat Aamir, Home and Tribal Affairs Deputy Secretary Muntazir Khan and Local Government, Elections and Rural Development Deputy Secretary Ismail Qureshi.
