Flood in Kabul river drowns village, traps people

Jamot village in the suburb of Charsadda was inundated due to flooding in Kabul river on Saturday.

According to details, influential persons diverted the direction of the water in order to save their agricultural land due to which dozens of acres agricultural land of the poor was inundated.

Irrigation and other related departments have warned people of affected areas to evacuate villages as a precautionary measure.

The provincial government also warned people to migrate to safer locations. More than 60 families have migrated to secure areas for survival.
