Two LeJ militants among five killed in Quetta

Two militants of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), their wives and a two-year-old daughter were killed on Thursday during exchange of fire with security forces.
As many as 15 security personnel, including an army official, were also injured in the gun battle.
The LeJ owned the militants and vowed to take revenge.
According to details, after getting information the personnel of intelligence agencies, backed by the FC and police, raided a house in Kharotabad in the outskirts of Quetta. Instead of surrendering, the occupants of the house opened fire on the officials and lobbed grenades. The officials also retaliated and the encounter lasted for several hours. When the militants realised that they could not escape, they blew themselves up, also killing their wives and a daughter.
Fifteen personnel were shifted to Combined Military Hospital after they received bullet injuries.
Separately LeJ spokesman Abu Bakr called media houses and claimed that both men and women fought with the forces with valour. He vowed to take revenge.
Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Fayyaz Sumbal said acting on a tip about the presence of suspected people in Kharotabad, law enforcers carried out a search operation during which exchange of fire took place.
He said that police had information about presence of ammunition in the house.
Separately, at least two people were killed and another was injured in exchange of fire between two tribes in Dasht tehsil of Mastung District on Thursday.
Levies sources said that armed men of two tribes took positions over a dispute in 13-Meel Dasht area and opened fire on each other that left two people dead and another injured.
Dead and injured were shifted to hospital and law enforcement personnel took control of the area, Levies sources said.
