Eminent lawyer Munir A Malik is to be the new attorney general of Pakistan, a private TV channel reported on Wednesday.
Quoting its sources, the channel said the notification in this regard would be issued in the next couple of days and Malik was expected to assume office at some point next week.
Malik would replace Irfan Qadir who is facing contempt proceedings before the Supreme Court.
