Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman and some other MNAs-elect on Wednesday took oath as members of the National Assembly.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq administered the oath to the newly elected members.
Earlier, talking to media outside the Parliament House, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that his faction’s share in federal cabinet had not been discussed yet with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif.
He said the next government should focus on restoring internal security and reviving the economy on the basis of domestic resources.
Replying to a question, he said PML-N enjoyed public mandate and JUI-F had also decided to vote for Nawaz Sharif for the slot of PM.
He further said that addressing the energy crisis was imperative, while restoration of peace would give a boost to investment in the country.
