Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani extended his felicitations to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on becoming the prime minister of Pakistan on Wednesday.
Nawaz is the first politician in the country’s parliamentary history to make it to the office of prime minister for the third time.
Others who congratulated Nawaz included Chinese premier Li Keqiang and Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.
