Two held for assaulting Pakistani diplomat in Delhi

A woman and her nephew were arrested on Tuesday in connection with a brawl with a Pakistani diplomat and his driver following a freak accident in south Delhi, police said.

Roshni and her nephew Rohit were apprehended after a case of rash and negligent driving was registered against them in connection with the incident in Ber Sarai last evening.

Pakistan First Secretary (Trade) Zirgham Raza, suffered bruises in a brawl when his car and a motorcycle were involved in an accident in Ber Serai at around 7.30 pm on Monday when he was returning to his Vasant Kunj home.

Pakistan High Commission lodged a protest with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs over the issue, its spokesman Manzoor Ali Memon said.

According to police sources, they received a call about an accident and quarrel with a woman.

“They met with an accident with a motorcycle coming from Ber Sarai. It was a freak accident and there was no damage or injury to any party happened. But the woman Roshni and her nephew allegedly entered into an argument with the driver which led to the clash.

“The driver and Roshni sustained minor bruises. Raza also received a bruise when he intervened in the matter. Both parties went for medical examination,” a senior police official said.

If such an incident has occurred in Pakistan,Indian Media has made it a very large issue.But it is Pakistani Media which does not dare to prapogate such serious issues.This is a shameful incident and why indian national do not care for ambasodarial level staff to avoid arguments.India Authority must take stern and quick actions so that in future no such incident happens.Indian women are very quarrelsome and argus for nothing.Pakistani Embassy Staff members must be provide enough protection and there must be clear identification so that the common people hasitate to quarrel with them.Pakistani Embassy staff members should avoid to travel congested places.

    • Who told you Pakistani media did not make a large issue ? Your Govt summoned India's high commissioner to foreign office. Foolish Indian Govt is entertaining arrogant Pakistanis for no good reason. They arrested the person, tendered an apology to the low lives. They should just have regretted the incident and assured an investigations. Thats all. If escalated India should recall its staff. What we have to do with these guys in any case.
      We are according to much respect to Pakistanis which they can not digest.
      It was a freak incident, nothing to do with India Pakistan relations. But still Pakis making so much noise.
