Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday filed a petition in the Sindh High Court calling for the recovery of its missing workers.

The petition was filed a day after the MQM leadership protested in front of Supreme Court for the recovery of missing workers who “disappeared” during May 11 elections.

Parliamentarians Farooq Sattar, Babar Khan Ghori, Sufyan Yousuf, Iqbal Qadri and members of Rabta Committee Qamar Mansoor and Mian Atique also participated in Monday’s protest.

Speaking to media representatives, Sattar had said that during recent elections as many as 30 workers of MQM had been kidnapped, out of which 20 had been murdered and 10 were still missing.

“Workers were kidnapped by persons without uniforms, riding in cars without number plate. There is a general opinion that they were Rangers,” he said.
