- Shahbaz unanimously nominated CM, vows to take country out of crises
Addressing the parliamentary committee meeting at Alhamra on Monday, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahbaz Sharif has vowed to exterminate ‘thana culture’ from the province.
The parliamentary party has nominated Shahbaz for the position of Punjab chief minister.
Shahbaz says that he will serve the masses with humility and change the culture of Thana and Patwaris to facilitate the people. He said people will be provided justice at their doorsteps. He said all possible measures will be taken to overcome energy crisis and provide relief to the people.
He said the new government will work on a comprehensive plan to revive the national economy‚ which has been destroyed due to massive corruption.
Furthering his statement, he said that previous government looted national resources in the name of so-called democracy. He said that public while expressing their anger against corrupt rulers rejected the PPP government and preferred the PML-N in general elections.
“Almighty Allah has bestowed us with rule and power. It is our duty to resolve masses’ issues taking it as a responsibility to take the country out of challenging crises,” he said.
Shahbaz said he would chalk out a new strategy in consultation with all stakeholders for extermination of corruption from all departments.
“I hope that the PML-N government in the center and the Punjab would succeed in handling issues faced by the nation,” said Shahbaz.
Earlier PML-N Parliamentary Party Punjab had unanimously endorsed the nomination of Shahbaz as Leader of the House in the Punjab Assembly.
A resolution in this regard was moved by Rana Sanaullah at a meeting of the committee in the city on Monday morning which was unanimously approved.
