Defeat makes PPP ‘sensitive’ to public woes

Provincial Minister for Information and Archive Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that a media cell based on modern technology is being established in the information department to set the department on modern standards which will remain functional round the clock.
He said while chairing a meeting with officers of all sections of the department. He said all officers should utilise their capabilities to enhance the performance of department so that positive image of the province could be highlighted.
He also directed that at least 10 officers must be present at a time in media cell which will monitor news broadcast by electronic media and report to concern ministers and officers regarding their departments.
Moreover, all officers would also report on daily basis regarding published news in various news papers regarding public grievances and law and order. For this purpose internet technology would also be used, he added.
“Media will work as a helping hand in resolving the issues that they are facing today. Punctuality must be observed by all the officers” the minister demanded.
Public Relations Director General Syed Wajahat Ali and Director Press Information Muhammad Yousaf Kaboro also attended the meeting.
