Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) nominate for leader of opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Monday said that his party would continue to follow its reconciliation policy in larger national interest.
He said that his party would like to see then incoming Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government complete its constitutional term.
Khursheed Shah further said that the PPP leadership believed that democracy was the only solution of problems faced by the country.
Talking to private television channel, he said people had given a mandate to the PML-N which must be honoured and accepted by other political groups.
Replying to a question, he said that political maturity was gaining roots in the country and PPP would act as a watchdog in the parliament.
He said all political forces of the country wanted to strengthen the democratic system and efforts were being made by democratic forces in this regard.
He said democracy was restored in the country after great efforts and that was why the party did not want to indulge in politics of confrontation.
