According to the actress, newly weds love to get together at kitty parties and exchange notes on annoying hubbies Vidya Balan, who has been married for five months, has some interesting insights to married life. The actress is gearing up for the release of Ghanchakkar, which sees her play an OTT Punjabi woman married to an annoyingly forgetful husband. While there may be no parallels to her real life, Mrs Roy Kapur is brimming with ideas on how to promote the film. At a studio to oversee the final cut of a special song, members of the unit asked her for her inputs. “Since she is a newly married woman, everyone wanted to know how best to connect to the target audience,” said a source close to the developments. Mrs Roy Kapur thought for a moment and quipped: “Let’s have kitty parties!” According to the actress, “the first thing women do after marriage is host kitty parties and b**** about their husbands.” Those present were stumped by the unexpected response. Says director Rajkumar Gupta: “We were having a chat on our promotional strategy and her answer took us totally by surprise. I think the idea is extraordinary and it occurred to her when she overheard a discussion at a similar party that was going on at a restaurant.” While it is not clear if Vidya’s take on marriage will find a place in the final strategy, we know for a fact that the busy actress has hardly had time to do the same for herself. Mr Roy Kapur can breathe easy for now.
