In Raj Kumar Gupta’s Ghanchakkar, the song Lazy Lad explores the widely believed concept of men and women belonging to two different planets. Picturised on Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan, the number sees Vidya, in her loud Punjabi housewife avatar, talking about those traits of men that frustrate women the most — being a couch potato, lack of promptness and how they have short attention spans, etc. The song releases today across television channels and radio stations. Vidya says, “All of us know that the lads are always lazy. They just sit in front of the television and switch channels. It’s so frustrating. And if a cricket match is on, then you have had it. The term ‘Lazy Lad’ was coined for these men.” Emraan admits that men can be lackadaisical. He says, “Most men are couch potatoes. When I am at home, I pretty much do what I am doing in this song — just chilling in front of the television and some times I just stare into nothing. That’s my favourite pastime. I can go on for seven to eight hours without doing anything.” Ghanchakkar, produced by UTV Motion Pictures, releases on June 28.
