Lahore High Court (LHC) has been moved by a petition seeking disqualification of leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and Khawaja Saad Rafiq for their participation in the lawless attack on the Supreme Court (SC).
According to media reports, Shahid Orakzai, who has filed the petition, said the respondents were not eligible to contest elections as they had been convicted in the SC attack case but had not mentioned it in their nomination papers.
The court earlier dismissed another petition by Orakzai against former federal minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and asked him to approach an election tribunal regarding the matter.
