With summer holidays announced by the government in educational institutions across the country, the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) issued a statement on Friday announcing various tour packages and special rates for its hotels, motels and resorts situated in some of the most attractive tourist spots in the country.
Group tours for families and students to places like Murree, Ayubia, Shogran, Naran, Lake Saiful Maluk, SwatValley, Chitral (including KalashValley), Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu and NeelumValley (Azad Kashmir) are being offered on special rates which include
breakfast, accommodation in PTDC Motels and comfortable transport.
The PTDC has also announced a 30 percent discount on accommodation in its Ayubia and Naran Resorts and around 50 percent discount on accommodation in PTDC Motels at Saidu Sharif, Miandam, Chitral, Bamburet (KalashValley), Mastuj, Phandar, Gupis, Gilgit, Hunza, Sost (Pak-
China border), RamaLake,Skardu, Khaplu and Besham in Ramazan.
Further, to facilitate travel to KaghanValley, the PTDC’s air-conditioned daily bus service from Rawalpindi to Naran has resumed since June 1.
The bus would leave Rawalpindi at 9am and would reach PTDC’s Naran Motel at 5pm at PTDC Motel Naran while the returning bus would leave at 9am and arrive at Rawalpindi at 5pm. The one way fair has been fixed at Rs 1,500 per person with a 50 percent discount for children. The PTDC Managing Director Mir Shahjahan Khetran inaugurated the bus service on June 1.
All roads and hotels in the northern areas have been opened for tourists and, as expected, KaghanValley shall remain a hot favorite destination for Pakistani tourists this year.
For many years, water sports like river rafting and kayaking in the KunharRiver has added to the attractions for tourists visiting KaghanValley, said the PTDC’s statement.
