Heat wave conditions will continue to grip most parts of the country during the next 24 hours with an increase in day temperatures especially in plain areas.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), hot and dry weather would prevail in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan during next 24 hours.
The weather will remain dry in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours.
The synoptic situation says that a seasonal low lies over Balochistan and its adjoining areas.
The maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Islamabad 39 C, Rawalpindi 41 C, Lahore 43 C, Karachi 35 C, Peshawar 40, Quetta 37 C, Murree 28 C, Muzaffarabad 40 C, Multan 44 C, Faisalabad 44 C and Gilgit 36 C.
The highest maximum temperatures recorded were Daddu 49 C, Larkana 47 C, Bhakkar and Noorpur Thal 47 C, Sibbi, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jacobabad, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Shorkot, Sukkur and Nokundi 46 degree Celsius.
