The Punjab government on Saturday lifted the ban on the Education Department’s teaching and non-teaching staff’s transfers, according to a notification issued by the department in this regard.
The notification said that the ban would be lifted from June 1. Transfers would be allowed till August 14, after which the ban would be re-imposed.
According to reports, 2100 transfer applications have been filed in the Rawalpindi Education Department.
Various teachers’ unions lauded the decision.
