The Islamabad police on Saturday arrested eight outlaws including 4 proclaimed offenders (POS) from various areas of the city, said a police spokesman.
According to details, SubInspector Munair Khan and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Abdul Hameed from Tarnol Police along with their team arrested Asif Jan and Muhammad Abrar, recovering 1.2 kilogrammes of opium, and one 30-bore pistols with five bullets respectively from them.
Nilor Police Station’s ASI Arif Hussain arrested Qasir Mehmood and recovered one 30-bore pistol and 22 bullets from him, while Koran Police Station’s ASI Fatih Sher arrested Ejiz Alam and recovered one wine bottle from him. Moreover, Sub Inspector Muhammad Afzal from the ACLC Police confiscated a stolen car with registration number LWH-1335 from Sajid.
Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation has been initiated.
Meanwhile, Aabpara, Ramna and Golra police teams arrested four POS during a crackdown operation.
Islamabad Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Yaseen Farooq appreciated the police’s performance and directed all police station heads to ensure that all criminals were arrested and detailed reports presented to him.
