As many as 19 militants were killed while 12 others sustained injuries on Friday in an overnight operations conducted by security operations in different areas of Khyber and Kurram tribal agencies.
According to the ISPR, three security forces personnel were killed and three others sustained injuries during the clash with the terrorists.
According to the ISPR spokesman, the security forces captured western heights of Maidan area in Khyber Agency.
The security forces launched an operation in Para Chamkani and Maidan area of Khyber Agency late Thursday night.
After tough resistance from the militants, the security forces established a foothold on Muhammadi Top in Kurram Agency and captured Haider Kandao which can move to Maidan area in Khyber Agency.
All dominating heights of the area also have been cleared and occupied by the forces. During exchange of fire 19 terrorists were killed while 12 others were injured.
Locals of the area have extended support to the security forces and also formed village defence committee to protect their villages against any counter attack by the terrorists.
