Citizens staged a protest on Thursday in front of the Lahore Press Club against police’s failure to recover a youth kidnapped in Layyah about two weeks ago.
The protesters carried placards inscribed with slogans against the Layyah Police. Addressing the protesters, Muhammad Idress Khan, victim’s father, said that his son Muhammad Naveed was abducted by unidentified men on May 20.
He said the police had failed to recover his son after registering a case in Pir Jhugi Layyah Police Station. He appealed to the government to take notice of the incident.
