A woman gave birth to quadruplets in Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital (QIH) on Thursday. All of them are stated to be in good health. Gynaecology Department head Dr Salma Kafeel said three of the newborns were male while the fourth one was a female and were in neonatal Intensive care unit. She said that all the babies and their mother were healthy and stable and average weight of each babies was over 900 grams. She said that the birth of quadruplets was unusual and the hospital had received such like cases in the recent past. “The children in the incubators are being constantly monitored,” she said and added that they would be kept there for one to three weeks.
