Female principal of Al-Khayyam School in Orangi Town was injured in a firing incident, police said on Thursday.
According to investigation officer of Iqbal Market police station, Rehana Rehman, 35, was inside her home in Orangi Town when a bullet ‘came from outside and hit her at her ankle.’
Resident of Iqbal Market in Chishti Nagar, Rehana’s husband, Atta-ur-Rehman, is an Imam and works at Karachi Port Trust.
The police said no one in the area admitted to having seen anyone including the one who fired the shot. However, further investigations are underway, the police added.
