Shah becomes approver in ephedrine case

One of the accused in the ephedrine quota corruption case, Anjum Shah has become an approver against another accused Makhdoom Shahabuddin.
Shah in his statement said that Shahabuddin allowed a quota of 2005 kilogramme of ephedrine to a pharmaceutical company after getting Rs 6 million.
He said two of the owners of the company gave Rs 6 million to Shahabuddin through him. The amount was given partly in cash (Rs 3.5 million) and the rest (Rs 2.5 million) through a cheque, he added.
