Seven including two MQM workers killed in violence

At least seven people were killed in different incidents of firing and violence in the metropolis on Wednesday, media reports said.
According to reports, a youngster was shot dead by unknown assailants in Sao Quarter in Korangi area, while a tea shop owner Zar Wali was killed in C-1 area in Liaquatabad.
A man, identified as Faisal, was killed when miscreants sprayed bullets on a shop near Qatar Hospital in Orangi Town, while a man named Saad was killed in Orangi No 5.
A man was also killed in a firing incident that occurred in Lalaabad, Landhi, while a woman was killed with sharp pointed knife in Baldia Town.
Meanwhile, MQM Unit in-chargeSarfraz Ahmad, was shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists near Baqai Hospital, Nazimabad No 4.
The body of the 30-year-old MQM activist was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where a large number of party members and family members had gathered.
A resident of Nazimabad, Sarfraz left behind three children and a widow.
Further, another political activist, Salim Jan, was gunned down in Sector 5-E, New Karachi by a motorcyclist.
Meanwhile, a mutilated body of a youth was found near Crown Cinema in Maripur, while the dead body of a woman was found near ICI Bridge. Moreover, dead body of a youth, namely Ahmad Yar, was found in Peepri area in Bin Qasim Town.
In a separate incident, a young man was also injured in firing in Jona Market area of the city.
On the other hand, two security personnel were injured in firing by miscreants during a search operation being conducted by rangers’ and police in Kunwari Colony, Manghopir.
Search operations were also conducted in Jamali Goth, Korangi, Khokhrapar and other areas of the metropolis, where the rangers’ arrested ten suspects and recovered different weapons from their possession.
