PML-N, JUI-F strike deal on power sharing

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl on Wednesday settled all matters regarding power sharing in centre.
Final decision will be taken during a meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Fazlur Rehman.
Sources said talks were held for the second time between the two parties on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday after a week’s break. Senator Pervez Rashid represented PML-N while Ghafoor Haideri led the JUI-F in the meeting.
Senator Rashid held out assurance that during the PML-N government no legislation would be enacted contrary to Quran and Sunnah.
Sources said the demands put up by the JUI-F were discussed during the meeting. JUI-F was assured that the PML-N was giving a serious thought to its demands and JUI-F should also show flexibility.
Sources said the JUI-F demanded that the PML-N give it two ministries in federal cabinet and two of its men be appointed ambassadors in Muslim countries. On the other hand, the PML-N is sticking to giving only one ministry in the federal cabinet.
While showing flexibility in its stance, the JUI-F had assured the PML-N of cooperation in the government making process.
Sources said Fazl would visit Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umrah Raiwind to give a final shape to the negotiations.
JUI-F spokesman Jan Achakzai said his party was engaged in talks with the PML-N for continuity of democratic process in the country. He, however, dispelled the impression that his party had demanded that the PML-N appoint two JUI-F ambassadors in Muslim countries and sought two ministries in the federal government.
